2023 CURRENT PROJECT The 21st Annual Grey Cup Fundraising event will be held in Toronto Where: The Fifth Social Club, 225 Richmond Street W., Toronto When: 5:30 p.m. Sunday November 19, 2023 The Hadden Family Foundation is pleased to partner with the Toronto Foundation for Student Success (TFSS) in our multi year student breakfast and nutrition program called Feeding Hungry Minds and an after school program beyond 3.30. Together with your generous assistance we will continue to serve a nutritious breakfast at schools in Toronto every year through 2023 . Since the COVID-19 crisis, some elementary schools were having difficulty maintaining their regular Student Nutrition programs (SNP's) due to lack of funds, or logistical barriers. As well, due to changes in school scheduling, high school students often had limited access to their SNPs, as they weren’t in school every day. In response, the TFSS piloted the Nutrition Pantry program (NP) last year, bringing shelf-stable food directly into high schools. Each week, students chose food to take home to prepare a week’s worth of lunches. The NP program also delivered bulk-purchased, individually packaged food to elementary schools that were unable to open their regular Student Nutrition programs (SNP's). Reaching over 38,000 students in nearly 100 schools, the NP program has become a consistent source of nourishing food for students.
The Hadden Family Foundation continues to support Pathways to Education and Toronto Kiwanis Boys and Girls Clubs of Regent Park and Parkdale.
